The Heesen 55m motor yacht Reliance has left the outfitting shed at the shipyard in Oss and is on her way to the North Sea for sea testing. The yacht, formerly known as Project Gemini, was designed by Omega Architects and had interiors by Luca Dini. She is one of only five delivered yachts from Heesen’s famous 55 Steel line, which has steel hulls and aluminum superstructures like the one she has. Sisters Vida and Laurentia, 55 meters in length, are her kin. The yacht was built on spec. However, Arcon Yachts Monaco found a customer interested 15 months into the project, and the client bought the boat. The exterior of Reliance is a sleek shark grey, and its predatory look is accomplished by a “shark tooth” portion on the front superstructure. This is the first Heesen yacht to have interiors designed by Luca Dini.
However, the partnership between the two designers is well-known for the boat’s appearance. The Italian designer and his team collaborated with the building’s owners and Arcon’s project manager to give the inside a classy feel with the help of some subtle lighting and a color scheme that leans toward the golden. When the owner was brought in at the beginning of the construction process, the yard made several significant adjustments to fit the owner’s preferences. The yacht’s owner’s stateroom stands out due to its opening window and its newly designed en suite. The beach club at Reliance has bathed in natural light thanks to the transom door’s windows.
The 82 square meter owners’ apartment is on the main deck, and the VIP cabin is on the bridge deck, giving six luxurious accommodations for the yacht’s 12 guests. Two further double and two twin guest rooms may be found on the boat’s lower deck. You may expect a peak speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 miles from the twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 IMO-Tier III diesel engines. This comes after Arcon Yachts announced the closing of the sale of the identical Project Serena. This vessel is one of three 55 Steel variants constructed at the Dutch shipyard. The Heesen Yachts shipyard in the Netherlands has just launched the 55.0 m Motor Yacht RELIANCE (soon to be delivered in 2022). There are only four 55M Steel models, and she’s one of them. She is powered by two MTU diesel engines and can reach speeds of 15.5 km at her maximum and 13.0 kn at her cruising speed. She has six staterooms for passengers and 13 crew members. She can carry 760.0 GT in her hold and is 9.6 m wide. Omega Architects, who has created another 81 superyachts in the BOAT Pro database, was responsible for her creation.
She featured a Teak deck, Steel hull, and Aluminum superstructure and was designed by Luca Dini, who has created the interior of 60 other superyachts (according to the BOAT Pro database). Van Oossanen Naval Architects (who have designed 37 other superyachts) and Heesen Yachts (who have designed 75 other superyachts) developed the yacht’s naval architecture. The RELIANCE is now flying the Dutch flag (along with 76 other yachts). Recent sightings had her sailing around the Netherlands, so she must be quite the busy superyacht.
